Training on the AT for the big race

Jonathan and his dad went for a 30 mile one day hike on the AT. Jonathan did great, oh I should say Tom Tom did great and Fat Man Losing Weight died at mile 22, but did not give up. They started at 9:05 am and ended up finishing at 10:40 pm a couple of hours after dark with only one flash light. They visited with a bunch of thru hikers that had already started. All but one where heading north. The one going south started last June with only the month of December off. He was around a hundred miles from finishing when they met.
